I began my career as a Chemical Engineer, spending 8 years working in different industries before pausing my career in 2004 to become a stay-at-home mom. That’s when I discovered something I truly loved—teaching and creating engaging, creative learning experiences for children.
My Journey into Education
I started by volunteering and running classes in values and spirituality for young children. Later, I became the owner of an Experi-Buddies franchise, where I brought the fun of science to Grade R–3 students through hands-on, extra-mural activities.
In 2013, I was introduced to Vedic Maths, a fascinating system of mental mathematics from India. Excited by its potential, I launched classes, workshops, and competitions across South Africa to help learners develop faster, more confident mental maths skills.
Why I Founded Edu-Coach
Through years of working with parents and students, I noticed that children often need more than just academic tutoring. Many struggle with exam anxiety, low motivation, poor study habits, or organisational skills—challenges that affect their confidence and performance.
That is why, in 2018, I founded Edu-Coach, designed to support learners holistically. The goal was not only to improve marks but also to help children develop resilience, focus, and confidence.
MYEDUCOACH Today
Edu-Coach has since evolved into MYEDUCOACH, a tutoring and coaching platform dedicated to helping learners excel in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and Study skills. The mission remains the same: to guide learners in South Africa to learn, grow, and thrive academically and personally and develop a love for Mathematics and Science.
